Yesterday, the New York Jets traveled to Soldier Field to play the Chicago Bears in a pivotal week 8 matchup. It was tough sledding for the Jets as they lost the game 24-10 and slipped to 3-5.

The offense clearly suffered without Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa, and Sam Darnold was not really able to get anything going except for that one drive in the 4th quarter where they scored a touchdown making the score 17-10. Overall, he only completed 14 of 29 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown. On a positive note, he did not throw any interceptions.

On defense, the Jets allowed the Bears to convert on multiple 3rd downs extending drives keeping them out on the field too long, clearly tiring them out. In addition, they choked and allowed the Bears to put the nail in the coffin by scoring another touchdown on the ensuing possession.

Next week they will travel to Miami for a rematch with the Dolphins. In their last meeting at MetLife, the Jets lost 20-12 and could not find a rhythm. The good news is that Tannehill is out and strangely the Jets seem to play the Dolphins better in Miami as opposed to the Meadowlands. Don’t worry Jets fans...the next couple of games look promising. J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!!!
