Jets Vikings Preview

The 3-3 Jets once again will be tested this week as Kirk Cousins and the 3-2-1 Vikings come to Metlife for yet another pivotal home matchup for Gang Green.

The status on Buster Skrine and Trumaine Johnson are still uncertain for this week and if they don't suit up, look for Morris Claiborne to be picking up a start again this week as well as 6th round draft pick Parry Nickerson getting the start on the other side switching in and out with Daryl Roberts. Lucky for the Jets, they were able to avoid the mighty TY Hilton for the Colts, and despite the fact, QB Andrew Luck was still able to find lots of pockets in the Jets secondary throwing for around 300 yards and 4 TD passes (even though the last TD was a late score that didn't matter). Defensive Coordinator Kacy Rodgers looks to out again this week due to health-related reasons. Hopefully, this will not affect the defense as once again, Great old Todd Bowles will once again get the defensive playcalling duties.

Ok let us talk about the opposite side of the football now. Offensively, the Jets have been sound the past two weeks with great usage of the ground game, which both led them to victories respectively. If they want to pick up this week 7 key matchup, they will have to play a ground and pound style offense featured with Darnold passing on some and not all plays. With the results from the past two weeks, I see no reason why you shouldn't continue to play this way.

This week once again will have lots to look out for, and can the Jets play "three times the charm" and go for the complete sweep of the three game homestand? The Vikings don't seem to be what they were last year, and Kirk Cousins has been very up and down. So leading to another point, the production of Cousins and the offense. Will it be the good Kirk Cousins or the bad Kirk Cousins we see? Also, will Stephon Diggs and Adam Thielen destroy the Jets secondary or will the secondary hold their ground? I wish I could be confident to say the Jets secondary would stop that mighty receiver duo, but with a banged up secondary, the chances, unfortunately, fall unlikely. Looks like we will be relying on the offense to save us again this week.

Image result for jets vikingsBefore I mention the final score prediction, Shoutout to Jason Myers for having a 7 field goal game and making Jets history by doing so. If you don't have the guy in fantasy yet, do yourselves a favor and pick him up this week. My final score prediction is gonna be a high one, but in this one I'll take the Jets winning a high scoring contest 42-35. This for sure will be an offensive Juggernaut game and the Jets I'm proud to say are ready for flight. J-E-T-S JETS JETS
