GANG GREEN NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT

The New York Jets headed into today at 1-3, desperate for a win facing the 2-2 Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium. The Jets have dropped 3 in a row since winning their Monday Night Opener in Detroit.

While Jets quarterback Sam Darnold only completed 10 for 22 passes for 198 yards, he did throw for 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. It was the big plays that mattered which started with a 77 yard run from former Brown Isaiah Crowell, followed by 2 touchdown passes to Robby Anderson, and a strike to Terrelle Pryor that allowed Jets fan to rest easy the rest of the game. Despite missing key cornerback Trumaine Johnson, the Jets defense and the big offensive plays led the Jets to their second victory of the season.

In addition, Todd Bowles did not do such a bad job calling defensive plays today for Kacy Rogers who is dealing with a severe illness. Also, the penalties were not a problem today for the Jets and therefore, did not blow a 4th quarter lead. It is now the Broncos that will be left scratching their heads with questions. Next week, the Jets will host the Indianapolis Colts and celebrate their 50th Anniversary of Super Bowl III.

This game is a golden opportunity for the Jets to get right back in the thick of it. The Colts are only 1-4 but that should not be taken for granted. Had the Jets lost today, their season could have been close to finished, but a win today silenced any thoughts of that. Keep being hopeful Jets fans…Sam Darnold most likely is the one.  J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!!!
