Jets Injury Report

Well well well fans. Looks like the Jets are pretty banged up if you ask me. There are a few notable injuries for this week 8 matchup coming up going into Chicago against Mitch Trubisky and the Bears. We know for sure that after the devastating injury Billal Powell suffered last week could've potentially been his last game as a Jet and possibly of his football career as well.

Earlier this week, manager Todd Bowles mentioned how this injury has enough potential to end the career of Powell, who has been on Gang Green since 2012. He will truely be missed, but for fantasy owners with Powell, I would look to pick up RB Elijah McGuire, as he will be taking Powell's spot for most likely the rest of this season.

As for the secondary, CB Trumaine Johnson will most likely be out this week and it will depend on whether he will end up making the trip to Chicago this week with the team or if he will wait to meet the team in Miami the following week against the Dolphins. He is a huge loss in the secondary for the Jets as he was easily one of the biggest offseason signings for the subpar secondary the Jets have. In the meantime, expect Daryl Roberts and Parry Nickerson to continue getting reps at that CB spot.

On the other side at CB, Buster Skrine remains in concussion protocol and as of now, has had limited participation at practice, so don't bank on him playing, but if he plays, chances are he may not be out as much as a normal game considering he is just getting out of concussion protocol from the game against the Broncos. Expect Morris Claiborne to patrol that side of the field with main pass coverage duties. As of now he is listed as the Jets #1 CB coming into week 8, so I would expect to see lots of him next Sunday.

Along with all these injuries, Safety Marcus Maye is making progress since his thumb injury, but the chances aren't super high that he will play this week either. Jamal Adams will have a heavier workload along with Terrance Brooks assuming Maye isn't available to go this week.

On the offensive side of the ball, Center Spencer Long is questionable for next week as well as WR Quincy Enunwa. Neither of them were a participant so far at practice this week, and will both be missed if they are unable to go this week. Expect backup center Jonotthan Harrison and newly aquired Rishard Matthews to be factors this week offensively for the Jets assuming they both do not play.

In other news, The Jets have released Terrelle Pryor Sr after he picked up an injury recently, so as Jets fans, we should say thank you for your time at Gang Green and good luck in the future.

Wow, that was a lot of injuries for the Jets this week, lets hope they aren't too banged up and we wish our fellow Jets players (even the ones I didn't mention) to get better soon so they can get back on that field and win some crucial Football games coming within the next month. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!
