Jets vs Bears Preview

Yet again Jets fans, there is another crucial Jets game as we reach the midway point of the 2018 season. The Jets take on a sound Bears team that even though they're coming off a loss to Good Ol' Brady and the Patriots, they have plenty of reasons to be excited for the rest of this season and the future.

Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has only been getting better and better for the Bears as the 2018 season progresses. He features a lot of pocket passing ability and amazing running ability as well and it will most certainly be something the Gang Green defense needs to keep an eye on coming into this week.

As mentioned earlier this week in the injury report article, if Jets fans haven't figured it out yet, Gang Green is pretty banged up, and will be without both starting wideouts Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa this week, RB Billal Powell, and will also be missing Trumaine Johnson and Marcus Maye on the defensive end of the ball. Offensively, Jermaine Kerse will be the number one receiver and will also feature Andre Roberts (or the guy with dreadlocks that returns punts) and newly acquired Rishard Matthews for today. The Jets will have to put a lot of the offensive load on RB Isaiah Crowell and this may force QB Sam Darnold not to throw as much today and run the ball up in the Windy City

Before we mention what will be going on defensively for the Jets today, let us all get excited because the Jets just dodged a bullet. LB Kallil Mack isn't playing today, so our offensive line has one less beast to worry about. Oh yes, and speaking of the line, Center Spencer Long looks like he will play today but is listed currently as questionable.

Ok, now defensively, the Jets will need to do well today and hopefully be able to stay off the field as much as possible. CB's Daryl Roberts and Morris Claiborne will both need to be good in coverage today as the Bears feature Allen Robinson, Trey Burton, and Taylor Gabriel and many others on the offensive side of the ball that all are threats to the Jets defense. They also feature a strong backfield with Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen as a 1-2 punch and The Jets defensive line will be tested but most certainly needs to be ready for the Bears to feature the run game.

This game will definitely dictate where the Jets are headed for the second half of the year considering the next three games after today are all divisional games and they will need confidence going into those games coming up, and the ship starts today with getting it done away from home. Today will feature a real road test that the Jets must be ready for and could dictate where this season goes for the second half of the year. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!
