SAME OLD JETS…SAME HEARTBREAKING LOSSES CONTINUE

At one time in the 2nd quarter, the Jets led 16-0. However, they lost again as they continue to disappoint their fans as they have for the past 50 years.

The final score Titans 26, Jets 22. Another familiar heartbreaking 4th quarter collapse occurred as the defense choked. In addition, Jeremy Bates did a terrible job calling offensive plays such as running the ball on 3rd and long. Therefore, the offense was not productive. They got into the red zone 5 times and came up with 5 field goals and no touchdowns. This is an area where the Jets have struggled very much this season as they are worst in red zone-touchdown punctuality. The only touchdown of the game the Jets had was a pick six from Trumaine Johnson.

Josh McCown played fairly well as he was making his 3rd straight start for injured Sam Darnold. He completed 17/30 passes for 128 yards, no touchdowns, and 1 killer interception with under a minute to go to seal the deal for Tennessee.

In addition, the penalties continued to hurt the Jets and allowed the Titans to produce the game-winning drive. Todd Bowles’ team continues to show no discipline, fight, and motivation when they play as they cannot finish a game. His team is playing as if they want him fired at the end of the season. Most likely, they will get their wish. Earlier yesterday Packers coach Mike McCarthy was fired and he could be a golden fit for the Jets head coaching job next year. Back to this season, it is very possible that they might not win another game this season. If that happens, they will be 3-13 and have their worst record since 1996 when they were 1-15 under the abysmal Rich Kotite. Only he was worse than Bowles.

The final goals of this season are to see if Darnold continues to develop as he will most likely play next week in Buffalo. As Jets fans, the future is usually our only solace while the present may seem dull. Don’t worry Jets fans…Bowles will be done after this season and your team may finally start to move in the right direction.
