Jets Eagles Preseason Final Preview

As the final preseason game rolls around for the 2019 NFL season, the Jets still have tons to be excited about coming into the regular season, but tonight looks to be a night of mostly backups playing at almost all positions. The Jets will be taking on the Eagles in the final preseason matchup tonight at Metlife Stadium.

Overall, the Jets have a 1-2 record in this preseason, but have shown many times of light throughout. Most Jets fans are also anticipating seeing Le'veon Bell play as well, but don't get your hopes up cause it isn't happening tonight. Tonight most likely will feature players such as backup QB's Trevor Siemian and Davis Webb, RB Trenton Cannon along with Ty Montgomery, and wideouts Josh Bellamy and Deontay Burnett. Defensively, it most likely will be a lot of backups at all positions, so don't anticipate as much excitement as most Jets games.

As we roll into the season start, we also must wonder what the Jets chances of trading for DE Jadaveon Clowney from the Houston Texans. If the Jets acquire him, that would be a major force added to the defensive line, and yet another run stopper to be added to the Jets mix. HC Adam Gase has many high hopes for this group. In his most recent press conference available on the Jets youtube page, he says, "We gotta just keep plugging along, keep learning, trying to come together as a group....and come together as quick as possible. (4:00-4:12)" To check out that press conference,

As the new season rolls along, many high spirited Jets fans anticipate greatness. Questions will start to arise. How will sophomore Sam do? Will the Jets break the third longest playoff drought in the league? Will Le'veon Bell be the same player for the Jets as he was in Pittsburgh? Will the Jets defense stay compact and be strong this year? Well folks, this season is about to take flight, and Jets fans stay tuned. We're in for a very highly anticipated 2019 season.
