Jets Vs Giants Preseason Week 1 Preview and A Look Back At Training Camp

After a highly praised offseason finally ends, football is back, and tonight starts the preseason of the Jets 2019 campaign in the annual preseason Metlife Bowl against their fellow stadium sharing New York Giants. Unlike most game previews, instead of focusing on the opponent ahead, we will stay more focused on what the Jets must do tonight whether win or loss to continue the progress that they've been making throughout the offseason. Tonight will also mark Adam Gase's first game on the Jets sidelines as a Head Coach, but sadly will not feature new signing Le'veon Bell as he will elect to rest tonight.

Now three weeks into training camp, Gang Green has already been excelling and having many positive outlooks from fans as well as the coaching staff.  Draft Picks Quenin Williams, Jachai Polite, and Tevon Wesco in particular have had strong camps so far and look to be making impacts right from the start tonight to prove their worthiness on the Jets roster. Other notable players to watch for tonight will include new signings LB CJ Mosley, TE Ryan Griffin, CB Brian Poole, WR Jamison Crowder, and RB Ty Montgomery. With limited playing time for starters, the Jets will most likely start QB Sam Darnold and then switch over to former Broncos QB Trevor Siemian at some point during tonight's contest as well.

The Main Key to look out for tonight and throughout the preseason as well is how the new look Jets Offensive Line will present itself and how well they will block. With new acquisitions Kelechi Osemele, Ryan Kalil and Alex Lewis, these guys could prove as difference makers in help with making the O-Line better than it was in seasons past. With continuing struggle in the 2018 season, the Jets offensive line was depleted and was in desperate need of a bolster this offseason, and the Jets did just that in drafting OT Chuma Edoga from USC and acquiring the guys mentioned before. It ultimately should be interesting to see how this all will play out.

Although It is a brief first article to return back to the football season, there will be much more to talk about in the coming weeks, so make sure to stay tuned right here for more Jets news and updates. Let us all hope that tonight can provide us a convincing start to the Jets 2019 campaign, and that they can look sexy in their new look Jerseys for this season as well. Hopefully, this game can lead to many more great performances to come as the year exceeds. As they say "FOOTBALL IS BACK!!"
