JETS-SEAHAWKS WAS EXACTLY WHAT EVERYONE EXPECTED

Last Sunday, the New York Jets traveled to Lumen Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks. In this game, the Jets were dominated on every possible level and what was left was a 40-3 blowout loss. The Jets are now 0-13 on the season and only three loses away from football infamy. The Jets right now are a mess that will take a few years to fix and hopefully become contenders again.

The offense was atrocious. Darnold completed 14 of 26 passes for 132 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. Even though Darnold did not turn the ball over, the rest of the offense was unable to remain in check. Even though the Jets still would have lost the game by a considerable amount, Jets kicker Sergio Castillo missed three consecutive field goals and was cut by the team this week. Former Jets safety Jamal Adams made his presence felt by harassing the Jets offense all afternoon. Adams said that they were no hard feelings anymore between the Jets organization and players and he feels bad for their recent struggles. The true question is does he though? The Seahawks are getting ready for a playoff run while the Jets will miss the playoffs for the tenth straight season, have their fifth consecutive losing season, and have now had their franchise record of 13 losses in a row.

The defense was unable to stop Seahawks QB Russell Wilson as he torched them for 4 touchdown passes. The defense seems in much worse shape now with Frank Bush running the show as opposed to Gregg Williams. On a positive note, safety Marcus Maye was able to intercept Russell Wilson in the endzone, but the Jets offense was unable to do anything with the turnover. Good teams are able to capitalize off of mistakes made by the other team. Teams like the Jets though make their own mistakes and never fully recover or are unable to make anything out of the other team’s miscues.

This week, the Jets will travel to SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Rams. After what the Rams did to the Patriots last Thursday night, I can only imagine how ugly this game will be for the Jets. This could be worse than what we saw this week with Seattle. However, anybody can beat anybody in the NFL though on any given week but it does seem highly unlikely that the Jets will get their first win this Sunday. If the Jets are wise though, they will remain out on the west coast and practice out there this week so they cannot have the excuse of being jet-lagged. Jets fans...with each loss brings more and more certainty of Trevor Lawrence being your quarterback next year and hopefully the firing of Adam Gase.
