Jets Vs Falcons Preview (London Special)

As the Jets travel across the pond into England following a huge win last Sunday, the Jets look to continue their winning streak as they take on Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. Jets QB Zach Wilson took major strides in the right direction after throwing for just under 300 yards in last week's victory. This game is hopefully what continues to propel him in the right direction going forward.

Both teams come into today's London matchup at 1-3, where the Falcons lost a tough one at home to the Washington Football Team while the Jets picked up a huge victory to save their season from crashing. For the injury report, the Jets will be without TE Tyler Kroft and S Marcus Maye today, but WR Elijah Moore returns back into the lineup as well. For the Falcons, the key difference-maker will be not having their two starting WR's Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage. You saw what happened last week when the Titans didn't have their starting receiver duo and it forced them to keep the ball on the ground a lot more. It wouldn't be a surprise if Atlanta goes that same route this week.

For the team previews, the Falcons do come into this game at 1-3 with their only win being at the Jets house (Metlife) but against the Giants earlier this season. The Falcons have had their struggles early in the year, and being down Ridley and Gage today, their offense will be shorthanded to say the least. They do have a veteran QB in Matt Ryan, and guys with the experience he has can accommodate players not being available. The featured guy to watch for the Falcons today would be TE Kyle Pitts. I expect him to do well no matter the result. Defensively, the Falcons will be without Erik Harris in the secondary and already have had their defensive woes as a team. The Jets could very well expose these flaws.

For the Jets, offensively speaking, Zach Wilson needs to continue to take his chances downfield just as he did in last week's victorious game against the Titans. The Falcons have lots of soft spots defensively and the Jets will be able to have their way with guys like WR Corey Davis and RB Michael Carter. Defensively for the Jets, the Williams brothers continue to be huge. Quincy and Quenin should be causing Matt Ryan a lot of pressure during this one for sure. As HC Robert Saleh says, "All Gas No Brake." This team will be hungry to get this one across the pond.

For today's prediction, the Jets come into this one on an up note after last week's big win, and I do believe that this positive streak will continue into this week. However, this will be a great matchup just as last week was, and I do believe it will be close scoring. I think the Jets hang on for a London miracle and they win by a score of 23-21.
