Jets Vs Bills Preview

As the Jets come off of a rough game on Thursday Night Football in week 9, they come back in front of the home crowd in a key divisional matchup against Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and the Buffalo Bills at Metlife Stadium. In this, HC Robert Saleh announced that QB Mike White will be starting yet again in place of Zach Wilson, who will be getting another week to heal his knee injury. Hopefully, White delivers some Halloween Magic and lead the Jets to victory.

For this week's injury report, 4 players are listed as questionable. Those 4 players are WR Corey Davis (Hip, RB Tevin Coleman (Hamstring), DE Shaq Lawson (Hamstring), and OG Alijah Vera-Tucker (Toe). As of now, it does seem likely they will all play in today's matchup, but they will all be game time decisions going into this game. WR Denzel Mims is listed as out for today as well. For the Bills, LB Tremaine Edmunds is out with a knee injury, while RB Zach Moss is listed as questionable with a concussion, but most likely will play in this game.

For a preview of the Bills, It all starts with star QB Josh Allen. Despite coming off of a poor performance against the Jaguars, Allen is capable of changing a game with his arm and his ability to run with the football in his hands. With WR's Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley in the slot, the Bills have a dimension of offense that can make a difference in any given game. In the backfield, RB's Zach Moss and Devin Singletary are both big pieces as well, as the Bills average just over 120 yards rushing per game (CBSsports.com). Between the dominant backfield and Josh Allen's running ability, the Jets will have their hands full in the rushing attack from early on.

Defensively, the Bills are a turnover heavy team, with already 19 takeaways in just 8 games played, which ranks second in the league behind the Colts (coincidentally) according to foxsports.com.  Up front, rookie DE Greogory Rosseau and DE Jerry Hughes look to put pressure on Mike White during this game. the Bills are strong up front, as they also have DT's Ed Oliver and Star Louteleilei. LB Matt Milano is also a key piece, as he provides rushing abilities and can drop back in coverage as well. In the secondary, CB's Tre'devious White and Levi Wallace both are solid man to man coverage corners in this league. Both FS and SS Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer also play key in causing secondary turnovers for the Bills as well. The Jets must play their best to work around this solid defense.

Both Josh Allen (Left) And Elijah Moore (Right)
will be big factors in this game
With Mike White picking up his third start as a Jet, it is key to know that his offensive production has been solid, and has been letting players like WR's Elijah Moore and Keelan Cole play big roles in this offense. RB Michael Carter is heading into the right direction, and he seems likely to be the Jets number one option in that spot, even if Tevin Coleman is healthy for this game. With Corey Davis most likely ready to return to the lineup today, he provides more offensive weaponry for Mike White to use, and whether the Jets win or lose, I would anticipate Corey Davis to be heavily utilized upon return if healthy. With Mike White's confidence continuing to grow, it is best to believe that the Jets won't be going down without a fight tomorrow.

Defensively, the Jets need to limit the Bills heavy rush attack, as that could be a make or break factor with this game. If the Jets defensively can keep the rush game to a minimum and the secondary can hold their own as they've been able to do in other games this season, the Bills could see themselves having a difficult time handling the rowdy Jets crowd.

For my game prediction, I would start it off by saying I will be in attendance for both this game and next week's meeting at Metlife with the Dolphins as well. This weekend, I'm going with my school at Centenary University, since we have a business sponsorship with the Jets, and Jack and I will be there together the following week when the Dolphins come into town as well. These next two divisional games will be exciting and I expect both games to be competitive, regardless of records and stats. I will take my prediction that despite the Vegas line being a 12.5 point favorite to the Bills, I will take the Jets in this one as Mike White comes through and plays to his abilities just as he did in the Halloween special against the Bengals just two weeks ago. My final score I have is the Jets winning in close fashion and what will be a game for the ages. I'll take the Jets to bounce back this week and win this one by a score of 27-24.
